Meteor Fireball Recorded Streaking Over Xochimilco, Mexico on Dec. 8 2018

What appears to be a fairly large and bright meteor fireball streaked across the sky above Mexico City on December 8, 2018.

The fireball was captured by amateur photographer Jorge Diaz Henry who caught it on camera before it disappeared behind some trees, the video was later shared on social media.

Some of the comments on the video seem to disagree that it is a meteor fireball and may be signs of more sinister things afoot.

One other comment mentioned mentioned that they saw a flash even though they were far away from Mexico city.

As well as the above footage, it seems that the cameras monitoring the Popocatepetl Volcano also recorded the event.
