Mysterious object will pass Earth in 2017, and some say it could be alien ( 1991 VG )
A strange unknown object, that displays unusual orbits and behaviours, will pass earth in 2017 NASA says.
A mysterious object, that has baffled scientists for the last 25 years has been making its way towards earth, and will pass it sometime in 2017.
Known as 1991 VG, the object was first spotted in November 1991 by astronomer James Scotti at the University of Arizona.
It has baffled astronomers ever since because of its strange rotation and longevity in space. It has also been ruled out that it is a piece of known space junk from some known man-made space craft.
‘We looked into all the possibilities for it being man-made,’ astronomer James Scotti told Motherboard, an online magazine. ‘There were a few possible spacecraft and rocket bodies that might be 1991 VG.’
‘But when we looked into each, we were able to eliminate each of them.’
