No Escape by Suicide

In the past, men have assumed that the Great Tribulation and other end-time events were only for those living during the end-time. The “Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ” describes a period of Judgment which is very similar to a final curtain, where all players of all time appear for the last time. Every act, thought, intent, etc. will be brought back “on stage” for a final testing and judgment.

Seemingly not being able to be saved, some have killed themselves hoping to escape the plagues of the end time when they wouldn’t be able to die. Revelation 9:6, “And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”

Killing themselves immediately, they assumed they could escape, but that merely sent them instantly, as far as they would sense the passage of time*, to the time of the end, rather than giving them an escape, and that with the added penalty of suicide or first degree murder of oneself. *Time is not sensed when our bodies are either dead or asleep, but our spirits and souls remain conscious – as in dreams while were sleeping.

While it’s true that some people can’t seem to get saved the easy way – by simply believing – it’s because there’s more to it than that, as a certain level of power is required. Reading the New Testament will grant that person enough power if they read and study it over and over again until they attain the desired result. That’s because the Word of God is Pure Power.

An account of this pitiful malady was given by Oliver B. Greene* in his account of his own prophecy meetings in North Carolina in the 1960’s. He said some committed suicide shortly after his meetings, or in some cases, during his meetings.

This is yet another reason for learning the truth about the end times and not teaching error which, as we see, can have disastrous results. Although he seems to have done a very good job in logging the salvation of some 200,000 souls, it seems that Mr. Greene should have studied more about end time prophecy.

How many thousands have killed themselves because they listened to a doomsday scenario which was in error or never happened anyway?
