Pentagon Has 180 Days to Disclose UFO Data

“This report must include a “detailed analysis of unidentified phenomena data collected…”

Can we really expect to get some useful information out of this, let’s wait and see.

The new US funding bill compels various agencies to disclose what they know about UFOs within six months.

The $2.3 trillion COVID-19 relief and government funding bill has been in the news a lot recently for various reasons, but what hasn’t been as well publicized is an obscure ‘committee comment’ attached to the intelligence authorization act which makes reference to the UFO phenomenon.

In the comment, the Senate Intelligence committee “directs the [director of national intelligence], in consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the heads of such other agencies… to submit a report within 180 days of the date of enactment of the Act, to the congressional intelligence and armed services committees on unidentified aerial phenomena.”

This report must include a “detailed analysis of unidentified phenomena data collected by: a. geospatial intelligence; b. signals intelligence; c. human intelligence; and d. measurement and signals intelligence.” as well as “[a] detailed analysis of data of the FBI, which was derived from investigations of intrusions of unidentified aerial phenomena data over restricted United States airspace… and an assessment of whether this unidentified aerial phenomena activity may be attributed to one or more foreign adversaries.”

Back in June we reported that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio – acting chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee – had asked intelligence agency heads to compile together all currently available information on the topic of UFOs and that if the bill passed, this information would need to be made available within 180 days.

The fact that this has actually happened is certainly an interesting turn of events.

“I welcome this long-overdue development,” UFO researcher Nick Pope said at the time.

“It suggests that those senators who received last year’s classified briefing on UFOs were disturbed by it and weren’t satisfied with the current DOD position, i.e. simply stating that the mystery objects encountered by naval aviators remain unidentified.”
