There is something big looming in Guatemala. A powerful M6.1 earthquake hit off Guatemala on April 15, 2016 at 2:11 pm (UTC) just two days after two major volcanoes – Santa Maria and Fuego – erupted in the country. There are strong geological movements currently happening in Guatemala. First, two of the major volcanoes increased their activity at the beginning of the week. The Santa Maria volcano started erupting on April 11, 2016 followed by the Fuego volcano on April 12, 2016. And today, a powerful 6.1-magnitude quake hit just off the coast of Guatemala, according to the USGS. The powerful quake shook Chiapas in Mexico, and El Salvador.
