UFO Struck by Lightning During Thunderstorm

Here is a video of a UFO in a thunderstorm that is eventually struck by a lightning bolt.

At around the 1:22 mark in the video you see the unidentified glowing object is hit by the bolt but is not damaged in any way.

What if the object intentionally wanted to be struck, perhaps using the lightning strike as an energy source? This may also explain why these glowing objects have been seen near volcanoes, since sometimes there is lighting strikes during ash could eruption and even full eruptions.
