What If Earth Faced an Alien Pandemic?

Aside from the current Covid19 Pandemic, a multitude of viruses exist on Earth. We presume they all originated from our own planet, but did they?

Could some have come to Earth by hitching a ride on asteroids or comets that have either skimmed our atmosphere, or perhaps even the ones that have collided with Earth either in the past, or from the ongoing collisions with very small undetected space rocks that may hit our planet everyday.
