Cosmic Rays Continue to Intensify
For those that are regular visitors and readers of our articles you will likely recall we’ve been publishing stories on this for some time now but here is some recent data of the cosmic rays situation. You can also take a look at an article we did in September of 2016 “Earth’s Weakening Magnetic Field, Solar Minimum – Cosmic Rays Increasing“.
Unfortunately important information like this doesn’t make the 6 o’clock news so the average person will likely never have a clue of any of this. Fortunately we are here to hopefully help people be more informed and aware.
Spaceweather.com states: COSMIC RAYS ARE INTENSIFYING: A neutron monitor at the South Pole is detecting an upswing in cosmic rays penetrating Earth’s atmosphere. Here are the data, courtesy of the University of Delaware’s Bartol Research Institute:
This is a sign of changing times on the sun. The solar cycle is shifting from Solar Maximum to Solar Minimum. As the sun’s magnetic field weakens, cosmic rays are having an easier time penetrating the inner solar system. Earth is in the cross-hairs of these high-energy particles.
As a side note solar minimums (maunder minimum) is also associated with varying levels of ice ages. Many researchers and scientists believe we are heading for a mini ice age now. If it does happen let’s all hope it’s not severe, ‘regular’ winters are bad enough I’m sure we can all agree.
